Is eclectic here to stay?

There is a style that is not going away and appears to be getting better and better. It’s that eclectic, industrial, Shoreditch warehouse look, you know the one.

It is no surprise, as it is so accessible, very creative and gives an opportunity to customise to your taste rather than being dictated by brands. To pull it off requires great skill in understanding how to mix and clash colours and periods without creating a muddy mish mash. It can be done on a budget though by trawling through Ebay and upcycling. I regard this style as the Rock and Roll of interior design and is in fact very popular amongst Rock Stars who source great pieces from Andrew Martin  but at a price.

My latest discovery at the Paris shows was a Dutch company who have mastered the look, but affordably. From fake stuffed animals, to giant domed lights they have pushed the style in to something that is quite theatrical, almost staged but quite effective.
